Seth Turns 6 and "Star" of the Week

Seth has been saving up all Summer to get him a new Razor scooter. Seth and his friends love to ride and jump their scooters but he wanted a new one, a Razor! Well...let's just say he never did enough chores to earn enough money so he could afford one. So for his Birthday Tim and I decided we would get him one. We thought what better place to celebrate his 6th Birthday than Classic Skating! He was so excited about his new scooter and had such a good time with some great friends! The kids went laser tagging, enjoyed the jungle, bounce houses, blast zone, riding scooters and more. It is definitely a place we will be hanging out more!

His Extreme Sports cake...Seth's favorite thing about any Birthday, the cake!

During the week of Seth's Birthday he was "Star of the Week" at school. They were to make a poster and include the following:
Picture of their family.
Favorite Food: Hot dog
Favorite Color: Blue and Black
Favorite movie or book: Tom and Jerry
Favorite thing about school: Recess
What he wants to be when he grows up: Racer
Other: He rides Motocross and BMX. He plays Soccer. He likes to go camping and his best friend is Jack.

That pretty much sums it up about Seth. He is such a fun kid. He keeps us on our toes. He is a great BIG brother to his two sisters and we love having him in our family. Happy "6th" Birthday Seth!

Girls Weekend In Park City

Kristin and I decided that this year we wanted to get away for our Birthdays. We will usually go to the State fair, but this year we wanted to have a girls get-a-way! I was a little nervous about committing to this at first because I wasn't sure I was going to be walking. If I was walking I wasn't so sure my foot was going to be happy about walking the Park City outlets. Kristin insisted that we go and that she had no problem pushing me around in a wheel chair all weekend. I seriously have the bestest friends ever! Luckily when the time came...I WAS WALKING!! I started walking really good with a cane over Labor Day weekend.

Kristin, Chelsea and I met up with Keelee Friday night for some yummy Mexican. We sat around and mostly just caught up most of the night. Then we went to the grocery store and bought a bunch of junk food and sat around and ate junk all night...and enjoyed the hot tub and sauna of coarse. Keelee headed home..she had to work all weekend:(

The next morning the girls and I headed to the outlet mall where we literally shopped the day away. It was some much needed retail therapy. After the outlets we had dinner and headed for Park City Main street where we got us a yummy apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. It was delish. Then it was time to head back to the hotel.

Here is the damage!!
Again we went and enjoyed the hot tub. That night I think we were all a bit tired and silly! I have seriously not laughed so hard in SO long. We stayed up until 2 in the morning jumping on the bed and acting like school girls. Such a FUN time!

Here is Chels showing off her cheer leading skills!

Kristin showing off her dance moves!

Sunday we woke up and went to breakfast. Then we hit up the "Silly Sunday" market they have on Main street. Such a fun weekend! Thanks girls for the great weekend get-a-way!

This pretty much sums it up...Chels, did I mention, "Your so Pretty!"

Hadley's Blessing

We blessed Hadley on September 11, 2011. We decided to just have the blessing at our home. It was given by her uncle Jason, Tim's brother. It was a beautiful day and Hadley was given a beautiful blessing. We are so blessed!
All ready for the blessing.

Uncle Jason right after the blessing.

Most of the guys and her hadsome dad.

Mom and her beautiful Hads

My cousin Natalie shot some pictures of Hadley and sent them to me. I love them!

State Champ

Seth has gotten quite the collection of trophies this BMX season. All first place except for one second place in Richfield. I know I am totally bragging, but I am one proud mom!

To top it off he won STATE CHAMPION!! He woke up the morning of the race and said, "Mom. I am going to win me that BIG trophy today!" To be honest I was a little skeptical since this was the state final and there were riders coming from all over the state. But, he did it! He peddled for all he was worth and WON it!

On the podium accepting his trophy.

Here he is with the prize. It is seriously almost the size of him.

Next year he will be racing with the 6 year olds. We'll see how he does.
Good job Buddy! We are all so proud of you!

Many Firsts

It's official, Seth started Kindergarten! I know every parent says how they cant believe how fast their kids grow up. I find myself saying this all the time. I cannot believe my baby is starting Kindergarten. This is bittersweet for me. With Seth being a September Birthday he is way ready and to be honest I am ready too. His teacher is Mrs Christensen and he will be going to Snow Springs Elementary in the mornings. He even gets to ride the bus! I am excited to see him on this new adventure and the trials and lessons that will come along with it. I am excited to watch him grow as a person and intellectually as well. I feel lucky to be experiencing this right along with him. Love you little Buddy!

Getting ready to walk to the bus with some of his friends.
I was surprised when I found it a lot harder for me to accept the fact that Macee was going to be in Preschool then Seth starting Kindergarten. I cannot believe my little bug is getting so big. Macee has wanted to go to preschool ever since Seth started. Then again she wants to do EVERYTHING her brother does. Her teacher is Miss Sara and she is loving it already. Macee is kind of my more shy child so I think this will be so good for her. Love you Macee Lou!

August

Even though I was in bed most of August there were still some exciting things that happened.

Seth lost his first tooth! The tooth fairy left a new toothbrush and a dollar under his pillow. He thought that was pretty exciting :) I was sad because my babies are growing up so fast ;(

Hadley is ONE month old... She is such a good baby. She is very sleepy. She pretty much slept 23 hours a day for the first month. She is such a sweet heart and we love having her around.

She is still sporting all her hair!

Seth played Soccer and loved it. His team was called the Bats. His first game he got three goals! Everyone was wondering how long he has played soccer for...they were surprised when he told them he hasn't ever kicked a soccer ball in his life. The rest of the games he did good (when he was paying attention that is.) I think we will definitely be playing soccer again.

Macee broke her arm. Her and Seth were riding Tim like a horse. Macee had her arms around Seth and they both fell off. When they landed Seth's head smashed into her arm a little hard and broke the bone right above her elbow. We knew immediately that it was broke. You could see the bone protruding out the side. This happened on a Sunday so we had to go into Riverton Kids Care. They wrapped her arm in a sling. She was such a brave girl.

This is the pink cast she got put on a week later.

Seth raced the Richfield BMX track and won 2nd place. There were some good riders there and he wasn't familiar with the track, but he did awesome!

We also attended Oak City Days but I didn't have a camera so no pictures. A pretty low key Summer none the less but hopefully next year will be better:)

My Lil' BMXers

We decided to take the kids out to the BMX track and let Seth try it out. He loves his bike...it is just a part of him. I was nervous for him, but he LOVED it. (Surprise. Surprise!) We decided he could try a race. Before the race starts they let all the little kids 4 and under out on just a short part of the track. They do what is called a Big Wheel race. All the little ones get trophies whether they win or not. Macee decided she wanted to try it out too. She went out there..and she really did win! She was so proud of herself. We are proud of her too!
Macee holding her trophy!
 READY...SET...GO!!!

Out of the gate and away he goes!

Through the rhythm section...he is gaining!

He is the WINNER!!
Seth won his first BMX race and he was so excited!! He did such an awesome job.

Seth and Brody...Brody also won his race too.

My cute kiddos with their trophies.

I am one proud mom!

BIG Helpers

Seth and Macee have been so excited to have this baby. Before Hadley came they were always talking about helping mommy out. Seth said he would help change diapers and he gave Macee the chore of taking the dirty diapers to the trash. They have both been so cute with her. They are always wanting to hold her and feed her. Macee will just sit and talk to her and tell her all sorts of stories. I love that Macee is going to have a sister!

This blanket on the baby is one of Macee's doll blankets. She loves to take care of her.
Here are a couple of pictures of the kids holding her and feeding her.

Seth has surprised me the most. He is so cute with this baby. I think he really thinks she is his :) He is wanting to hold her every second of the day and whenever she cries he is there to give her the binky or feed her. He has been such a big helper and he really is the BEST brother any kid could ask for. Having Hadley brings back memories of when Macee was born. He was so cute with Macee too! He loves his sisters!
They are so lucky to have him to protect them.

I am so lucky to have the BEST helpers in town!
