November ~ Jr Jazz and Dance Recitals

Jr Jazz

Seth played Jr Jazz for the first time this Fall season. I loved playing Basketball while growing up so I really wanted Seth to try it. Tim really isn't that into basketball so it was nice to have him laid back about it instead of intense like he is with motocross. We all had a good time watching him. He was so funny to watch the first couple of games. He was scared of the ball and so he would basically just run up and down the court. Towards the end of the season he was a pretty good little ball player. He was quite the ball hog and we had to keep reminding him that he needed to pass so others could have a turn. He said he loved playing basketball and wants to do it again.

Seth is the blurry one in the middle with the blue shorts.

Macee's Dance Recitals

Macee had a couple of dance recitals. Her first one was at the South Town Expo and then they did a Winter concert at the Junior High School again. She did such a good job both times. Grandpa Vance came and recorded it so we have it on video. We are so proud of her.

Bubbles

This is kind of random but something the kids do at least once a week. They love to get in my tub and turn the jets on and play in the bubbles. I remember doing this when I was a kid so I wanted to capture it with my kiddos. Love them.

We also had a wonderful Thanksgiving but for some reason I didn't get any pictures. We had dinner at Tim's parents house then headed over to my mom's for a smoked turkey. It was a wonderful holiday spent with the ones we love.

Family Pictures Fall 2012

We had to get family pictures in before the end of the year. Thanks to April at Point Digital Photography for doing such a great job. It was a bit of a last minute decision and the weather was a bit on the rainy side but I think overall they turned out great. Of course Hadley was a bit on the cranky side and didn't want to cooperate. Welcome to the life of a 18 month old :) We love her and all of her sass. So here are a few of my favorites.

October ~ Girls Weekend and Halloween

Girls Weekend in Park City

We usually do girls weekend in September to celebrate mine and Kristin's Birthdays, but this year we did it the first weekend in October. I think this will be the new tradition. It was such a fun weekend. We stayed at the Silverado Lodge, which was a nice condo. Friday night we all met up and went to dinner. Then we got a bunch of junk food and just went back to the condo and ate and had girl talk till about 4 in the morning :) We got up early the next day and headed out to get our shop on. After a day at the outlets we went home and got ready for the show, Thriller! It was such an amazing show and we all had a great time. On Sunday we all took our time getting ready and then went out to brunch. I think we were all sad to have it end. It went by so fast and we created some fun memories. Thanks girls for the fun weekend!

Macee's Field Trip to Evans Family Farm

Macee had a field trip with her preschool class to the Evans Family Farm. They had lots of fun going through the corn maze,  going on pony rides, hay rides and picking their very own pumpkins. Such a fun day.

Macee and Macy...such cute little friends.

 Pumpkin Patch

My kids count down to Halloween and when they can go to the pumpkin patch like most kids do with Christmas. They love the Halloween season and all the fun festivities that come along with it. I cant blame them. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year too ;) So as tradition follows we took the kids to the pumpkin patch to pick out their very own pumpkins. Seth wanted to find the biggest one there. I think he came pretty close.

Hadley is teething so she isn't that happiest camper.

Halloween Party

Susan was having a neighborhood Halloween party in Richfield and invited us to come down and join. I'm so glad we did. We all had a great time. Susan had some fun food and games planned and all the cousins had a good time hanging out.

Pumpkin Carving with Grandma and Grandpa Warner

My mom grew pumpkins in her garden this year and had one for each of us to carve. She invited us all over for yummy chili in pumpkin bread bowls. After eating we all carved away. It was so fun being together with my family. Stephanie was there with her kids and it was so fun getting the cousins together. After carving the kids got to decorate yummy cookies...they were delish!
Carving Time...Seth carved his very own pumpkin this year.
Enjoying our yummy chili.

Later that day the kids went out and played in all the leaves in the yard.  They we having a blast jumping in them....now every time Hadley sees leaves she runs and plays and has to roll around in them. So cute!

 Halloween Eve - Pumpkin Carving

The night before Halloween the kids carved their pumpkins. Macee wanted a Hello Kitty, Seth a spider and Hadley is just happy to be there playing in the guts and doing what she does best...making a mess!

We hope you all had a Happy Halloween!!

September ~ Seth Turns 7 and Labor Day Camping

Seth's 1st Day of 1st Grade

The kids are back in school again. Such a bittersweet day. Seth is now in school full time. I am sure going to miss him but at the same time it is nice to have a little bit of a routine again. His teacher is Mrs. Penrod and Seth says she is really really mean...ha ha! I will say he has been doing really good  in school so maybe a mean teacher is just what he needs ;)

(Not the best pic taken from my phone.)
 Macee's 1st Day of Preschool

Macee is in her second year of preschool at Doodlebug with Miss Sara. She is loving it and has made some great friends. She too is learning lots and well on her way to reading :)

Seth Turns "7"

This year I told Seth we weren't going to have a friend party this year. He was totally fine with that. When I asked him what he wanted to do for his Birthday he said he wanted to go to the skate park with his friend Brody and have cake and ice cream with the family. So that is what we did.

Seth and Brody at the Riverton skate park

I asked him where he wanted to go for his Birthday dinner and he chose his favorite...Arby's!

Happy 7th Birthday Seth

Seth got new riding gear and helmet.
Just a funny story about Seth and one of his presents. Seth's Aunt Becky has 3 dogs and Seth is in love with Dalilah. He really wants her to be his dog and they both just have this special bond. Becky kept joking that for his Birthday he just might get her. He took her literally so he would go around telling his friends that he was getting a dog for his birthday. He even said to one of his friends, "Do you think she will come with a bow on her head?" Oh crap! We had to make it clear that he wasn't getting Dalilah for his Birthday, but he was excited when he got a picture of her so he could see her everyday! That is my kind of dog ;) Thanks Aunt B! p.s. I have caught the picture in bed with him sleeping...ha!

Grandma Christensen even gave him his own box of his favorite pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.  He loved every one...YUM!Happy Birthday Seth! You are such a special boy and bring so much joy to your mommy and daddy's lives.
 Labor Day Camping

We went down south to Thousand Lakes to camp for Labor Day this year with Jason and Susan and her family. We had never been there before and it was beautiful. The weather was a little on the cooler side with afternoon showers but for the most part it was a beautiful weekend....I even rode a dirt bike and survived! Wish I would've got a picture...I think Tim was shocked too ;)

Macee learning how to ride a four wheeler.
Tori and Macee spent a lot of the weekend riding their little four wheelers. They were both doing so good. It was so funny to watch them. They were both in la la land! They also spent a lot of time coloring and having a good time together. They really are the best of friends.

Seth spent his time riding his bike, playing in the dirt, going on rides with dad, collecting fire wood and his favorite thing of all...tending to the fire. He had a good time hanging out with Wyatt too!

Seth and Wyatt playing in the fire.
Hadley spent her time going on four wheeler rides, playing in the dirt, lovin on the dogs and hanging out at camp with mom. She loves camping and had a good time.
Hanging out with Grandpa

Loving on Jethro
We cant forget this funny little man, Carson. Here he is showing me some tricks! He is such a funny kid. Love him to pieces.

So that pretty much sums up our September...somewhere in there I turned the BIG 3-0! We also went to the state fair...not sure what happened to those pics.
