My Sanctuary

Last weekend Tim and I got a well needed get-a-way and spent a little time together. Tim has been working so hard and some long hours so it was nice to just leave the stress behind and relax. We got the bikes out and headed to our favorite place away from home, the Dunes, and what I like to call my Sanctuary. Tim and I have been sharing this interest for the past 11 years and I must say it is almost like heaven every time. There is just something about being out in the desert. It puts me in a state of tranquility and relaxation. It is better than a day at the spa. We were also with good company. We had a great time and thanks so much Grandma and Grandpa Chris for taking the kids so we could spend some time together. We are so thankful for all you do for us and the kids!

Home Depot Days With Pa

On the first weekend of the month Grandpa takes Seth to the Home Depot where they get to build a project together. This day usually entails the two of them spending the whole day together after Home Depot, lunch and a little man shopping. Seth puts on his little Home Depot apron and away they go. For each project he completes he gets to put a little pin on his apron. This is so much fun for Seth and he is always so proud of whatever he makes. He is so lucky to have such a great Grandpa! Here are a couple of pictures of Seth. I guess next time we better get a picture of Pa!

Major Milestones

My little Macee is just growing up so fast. This last month has been exciting for her. She can go up and down the stairs like a champ. She only fell once...it was a long and scary fall, but as soon as she realized she was still alive she went right back down them again. Also, she is walking!! I have been dreading this day. For 1.) I don't want my baby to grow up and 2.) A walking baby is so much more work. She just seems so little to be walking but she sure looks cute. Here is a little video of her just learning...she isn't the most graceful. Mommy is so proud of you Mace!

Fun at the Children's Museum

The kids and I went to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum with some friends last week and we just have to share what a great time we had. This place is amazing and I will definitely be investing in a membership so we can play all day every day...in child heaven maybe. While we were there we got to celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday. We has a story time and got hats to wear...cheesy, but fun! Thanks Lesh and Ko. Plan on many more trips to the museum.

Little Rockstars

Tori is Seth's cousin. The two of them have pretty much been together every day of their lives. You would seriously think they were siblings. I have been asked numerous times if they are twins. Well no they are not but they sure act like brother and sister...they fight and then make up over and over. It sure has been fun to see the two of them grow up together. Tori moved to Richfield within this last year so we don't get to see her as much and good thing Macee is here to fill the void. Luckily we get to see her every other week. Her mom has to come up to Salt Lake to work every other week and she comes over to play. I would say for them being apart makes the heart grow fonder. Whenever the two of them get together they just play...play...play! Here is a picture of the two of them last week. They had my brushes and they were pretending to be singers. I just has to get a picture. They are so cute!

Mike and Mace

Last Sunday Tim's family came over for Sunday dinner. Michael, who is just two months younger than Macee, put his plate on his head and then Macee went over and was eating the cottage cheese out of his hair like a little monkey. I thought this was so cute. After dinner they both helped me do the dishes. What BIG helpers!

Aquarium Fun

A couple of weeks ago went to the indoor Aquarium with Alesha and Koen. It was tons of fun. The boys loved that they could touch some of the fish. They even have some sting rays that you can pet...scary. Needless to say we just watched them...no touchy. Thanks Lesh and Ko for the fun day!
