Easter Weekend Camping

We had another wonderful Easter camp out this year with the whole Christensen Fam. Some of the activities and adventures this weekend consisted of...

Playing on the sand dunes and making sand castles for most of Thursday and Friday. The kids even got sun burned cheeks; the weather was beautiful.

Saturday morning was the Easter egg hunt at the Oak City park....Seth found the special egg and got the special prize, which was a bucket full of all sorts of goodies. He was pretty excited!
Seth, Michael and Macee getting ready to go hunt eggs.
The best part about camping is going for rides. We got a few good ones in. I failed to get any good pictures of Seth on his dirt bike but he did such a good job and put a lot of miles on his bike. Macee also loves to go for rides. (Who wouldn't with that awesome pink helmet ;)

Macee and Dad going for a ride.
Seth was nowhere to be seen most of the weekend. He was too busy playing in the dirt and with cousins. So me and Macee dyed the eggs without him.
It's not Easter without having the chance to roll your eggs down the sand hills until they crack. Macee spent a lot of time rolling her eggs. She especially liked her pink one.
Easter Bunny found us and brought the kids lots of goodies... Here are some fun pics of the kids Easter morning.

The kids had another Easter egg hunt around the camp where they found lots of eggs and yummy treats!

More time on the sand hills building trails for the eggs to roll down.

Most importantly we are so thankful for our wonderful family and getting to spend time with them.

Hope you all had a GREAT Easter!!

Another Year Come and Gone

Another year has come and gone. It's that time...time to come HOME! I have been looking forward to this day and it is with bittersweet emotions I write this post. We have had such a good time living in Pocatello. We have created so many memories as a family here in this town and I am so grateful for the opportunity and the time we have had with just our little family. I am truly going to miss it. Here is a collage of some of our favorite memories and we are surely going to miss this place!

Our most favorite thing to do in the evenings was to go up Mink Creek Canyon for dinners and to just hang out by the fire and relax. This canyon was literally 10 minutes from our house. Needless to say we spent a lot of nights doing this.

Another place we loved hanging out at was the sand dunes in American Falls. They were about a 40 minute drive. Seth learned how to ride his bike there and Mae got some fun rides in too.

The winters are so long here so we took the kids over to Outer Limits a lot so they could burn some energy off. This is pretty much the only thing in town geared toward kids. The kids loved to play while Tim was usually busy in the arcade being a kid himself ;)

I couldn't figure out why I was gaining so much weight living here...maybe this has something to do with it. We would literally go to Farr's Ice Cream every day. They have THE BEST ice cream and you get a large (cup full) scoop for a DOLLAR. Seth's favorite was Brownies on the Moon and Macee's favorite was Birthday cake...mine too. Tim isn't a huge ice cream fan, but would get Oreo now and then. We are surely going to miss this place!
Me looking rather large (6 months prego)
My kids have grown up so much this past year. I just love them so much and I am so glad to be their mom and share all these wonderful memories with them!  I have such an amazing husband who works so hard for us so we can enjoy this time together. Thanks babe!

While our time here is done. I am looking forward to going back home to my OWN home and to such wonderful neighbors and friends. I am also looking forward to being around our wonderful families again. One thing we are NOT going to miss is the L O N G car rides pretty much every weekend and the wind tunnel, cold, gloomy weather! Looking forward to having a Spring:)

GOOD BYE POCATELLO.....HELLO UTAH!

Seth's First Motocross Race

We took Seth to Bunkerhill last weekend for his first motocross race. He did such a good job. I have to admit we were all a little nervous(except Seth) on how well he would do on such a large track with so little experience. He went around that track nine different time. Three times for practice, three times for his 1st moto and three times for his 2nd moto. That's a lot of miles for a little guy. He was so proud of himself and when he was done racing he says, "I did sooo good!."

The race results: Seth could care less where he placed. He was just happy to be there riding.

Here he is with his new dirt bike and his medal he got.

Unfortunately his bike didn't really compete with all the others because of the clutch and how heavy it is. So this is going to be his OLD ride....
...and THIS is his NEW ride. Maybe next time he can be more competitive. Not that it matters what place he takes. It will just make it easier for him to ride and advance. He won't have to shift and the bike is super light so he can pick it up and jump back on if he crashes.

INTRODUCING...SETH CHRISTENSEN
Here is some LIVE footage of the race!

Born To Ride

We took Seth over to the skate park the other day so he could try out his bmx bike. He was so excited to get out of the house and ride! He was cruising 100 miles per hour with a perma grin. Tim and I were laughing so hard. He did such a good job cruising up the jumps and half pipes. He loved every minute of it and honestly thought his two inch jumps were like 6 feet...haha (keep thinking that little buddy)! He is such a fun kid and we are so proud of him. When it was too dark to see in front of ourselves we decided it was time to go. THIS KID WAS BORN TO RIDE!!
