January ~ Haircuts and Dentist

We took Hadley over to Cookie Cutters to get her first hair cut which she did not appreciate one bit....

Going...Going....

GONE!

She was pretty happy about her balloon and sucker she got afterwards :)
Macee goes to the dentist for the first time. I waited until Macee was a little older to take her to the dentist.  She was always so funny with strangers when she was younger and I didn't want to scare her of the dentist. Good news! She had NO cavities and she was so brave!

Christmas 2011

We spent Christmas Eve over at my mom's house where we ate a yummy dinner and opened presents. It was so good to spend time with my family.

Stephanie and her kids
After we got home the kids got to open one present under the tree...surprise! It was a pair of holiday pajamas. Seth and Macee said "good bye" to Sam the elf and were off to bed. They were sure sad to think of him leaving.
Christmas Eve
Sam must have delivered a good message to Santa because he stopped by our house and spoiled the kids ;) Grandpa and Grandma came over first thing so they could watch the kids open presents too.
Hadley sitting in her new stroller.

Macee got a new bike,  Leapster Explorer, some kitchen stuff, clothes and lots of other toys!

Seth got a Nerf gun, a Razor 360 bike and....a remote control helicopter!

Merry Christmas!!

December Happenings

December was a very busy and eventful month for us.  It started off with a knock at the door....on the doorstep was a box that came from the North Pole. In that box was the Elf on the Shelf! The kids were so excited this little elf came to watch over them to make sure they were being good so Santa could pay them a visit. We named our elf, Sam! The kids were so excited to wake up every morning to see where Sam was hiding. Here are a couple of pictures of Sam. P.s. I think having Sam helped the kids behave a little better too :)

Macee started dance back in August and loves it! They had a little Christmas recital to show the parents what they have learned. I thought for sure she would be that shy little girl standing with her hands in her mouth while all the other girls danced....boy did she surprise us! She did so awesome. She has really come out of her shell these past couple of months. My girl is growing up.

We had family night and headed over to see the lights at Thanksgiving Point. After the light show we got some hot chocolate and went to see the reindeer.

Macee had a fun Polar Express party at preschool. They all got to wear pajamas to school. When they got there they got a ticket for the train where they got to watch part of the Polar Express movie and eat lots of yummy snacks. Macee has such a fun teacher and is loving preschool.
Seth also had a fun Christmas program for the parents. They sang three different songs. They all did such a cute job with it!
I took the kids to see Santa at the mall so they could tell him all the things they wanted him to bring :)
Hadley is 6 months old now!! What the? Where has the time gone? She just started playing in the Jumperoo and sitting up on her own....I will post more on her later.

Hadley sitting like a big girl!
We also took Trax up to see the lights at temple square, but I forgot my camera of course. It was a very busy month.

Happy Holidays!

My Little Girl Turns 4!

Macee celebrated her 4th Birthday! She had a Build A Bear Birthday Party with a Hello Kitty theme. It was so much fun! All the kids got to pick whatever animal they wanted and a outfit to go with it. I had no idea but when we got there they had a Hello Kitty...Macee chose the pink one of course. The kids had such a fun time stuffing their bears, washing them and finding the perfect outfits. (I really need a new camera. Don't mind the crappy pics.)

After the Build A Bear party we came home and had ice cream and cake.

Some fun facts about Macee:
  • Macee's favorite thing to do is to get Hadley's toys that sing and dance to the music all around the house. She thinks she  is going to be in the Nutcracker one day!
  • She loves to play kitchen and set up picnics and tea parties all over the house.
  • She rarely picks up her messes...but she loves to make them!
  • Her favorite color is pink.
  • She loves her brother and sister...she is a GREAT sister!
  • Her best friend is Bella
We love you little lady. HAPPY BIRTHDAY sweetheart!

GOING PRIVATE

I have decided that I am going Private. If you are interested in viewing our blog send me your email address to mchristensen02@hotmail.com and I will send you an invite.

Family Pics

We finally got some pictures of the family! There has been a empty picture frame on the wall for quite some time where Hadley's picture should go. Glad I finally got a picture of the little munchkin on the wall. I was kind of dragging my feet because I really liked our family picture and I guess I thought it would be irreplaceable. I was a bit worried because Hadley was a little cranky, but we some really cute pictures. I am happy with the way they turned out. Enjoy!

Thanksgiving and Tree Hunting

November is a time of "thanks" and I have so much to be thankful for. This season I am most thankful to be alive and have my health back...for the most part ;) I am thankful I have two feet and that I can walk. It has been a rough year for our family in many aspects, but we have grown so much closer through these hard times and for that I am thankful. I am so thankful for Tim. He works so hard for us. He is such a great dad and example to our children. I am thankful for my full time job as a mother and ALL the benefits that come along with it. I love that i get to play Lincoln logs, construction site, and Lego's with Seth. I love that I get to play, house, kitchen and tea party with Macee. I love that I get to hold my baby all day, esp days when she is fussy and all she wants is ME. Time is something that you cant take back and I am thankful I get to spend this time with my children. I am thankful for our family and friends. I am thankful for all the blessings in my life!
I thought this was a cute picture of the girls...Macee's black eye and all :)
This year for Thanksgiving we went to Jason and Susan's home in Richfield. It was weird not hitting all the black Friday sales. I have done most of my shopping so there wasn't anything that I really needed. We got to play games, which was a lot of fun and something we dont get to do very often anymore. It was a very relaxing holiday. While we were there we went and saw Twilight. I loved it!!
Cute cousins
Just hanging out with Dad
All the boys got to go riding. Seth had a good time getting out on his bike!
On Saturday we went over to Oak City to cut down Christmas trees. This is something we all look forward to... great company and the yummy food! Seth cut him down a small tree for his room. The kids had fun playing in the snow and sledding.
Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving!
